Welcome

Welcome to the blog that is designed for Ministers’ Wives to connect with and encourage one another. It is our prayer that you have been blessed by the study “In our Shoes…” and that God has used it in some way in your life. Please let us know of any specifics you would like to share or ask any questions that you have been thinking about. We definitely do not have all the answers but there are many others out there who have been walking in these unique shoes of wives in ministry, and sometimes just being reminded that you are not alone in the fishbowl can make it easier to swim!

So look around. Talk to us. Talk to others and have a good time. We know what it’s like to walk in your shoes:)

  1. Hi ladies!

My husband sent me the blog interview that Rachel did with Ron Edmondson and I was so excited! I’ve actually been telling my husband that I was going to write a book for minister’s wives because there was nothing out there to help me!

I’m very excited to go through the study and follow your blog. It just feels like something I can relate to…I’m not a superhuman or a superchristian, I’m just a regular person who happened to fall in love with a man who was a pastor and when Rachel talked about that in the interview it just really struck a chord with me.

So thanks for doing all this and I can’t wait to see how the study helps me πŸ™‚

  2. Me again! I didn’t realize it but my husband just told me that I have a connection with you ladies! Trevor and Tracy Mansfield are good friends of ours and Trevor has lead worship at Longhollow and lead for a while at White Castle! How bizarre! Small world πŸ™‚

    • Jen..that is so cool! I am convinced that the world is very small, especially in ministry. Love the connection with the Mansfields, they are great folks. Hope the study goes well for you and stay in touch to let us know how everything is going:)

We can both relate to the whole “average person who married into the ministry” aspect….nothing reminds me of how big God is than when He allows me to be a part of it because only a really big God could use someone as crazy as me!!!!

      joyfully,
      Rachel

Blessed to have a copy of your study given to me as my husband starts his 24 month process for ordination and church placement. Looking for mentorship and encouragement from other sisters who are married to a current or future pastor.

    • Sandie,
So glad you have the study. We are praying that God uses it in your life in a huge way:) Congrats on the call to ministry–it really is a ginormous privilege and blessing….even when it isn’t easy
      Where are y’all serving???
      Rachel
